1. Explore outsourcing things that can be outsourced. This is on the personal side and also on the professional side. This builds the muscle of delegation and prepares you to avoid trying to do it all on your own.
2. Hire a coach or get into an accountability group for Dualpreneurs like yourself. Trying to figure it all out by yourself will keep you in your head, overthinking and stuck.
3. Strengthen time management, time blocking and all things productivity. You need to be a time management NINJA. This will be hard if you are already struggling with setting and enforcing boundaries for yourself and others. This is why item #2 is critical. Not a luxury.
4. Structure the time you work on your business. Evenings, weekends, and holidays can take on a new meaning.
5. Take rest, and recharge seriously. You can burn the midnight oil on both ends and make it happen. BUT, this is not sustainable, and you may not feel the effects now, but most certainly you will feel it later. Just be prepared to deal with this if that is your route.
I have had quite a few family entrepreneurs do this in their younger years with extreme success, but in their mid to late 50s the damage started to creep up. It’s not that much fun when your health deteriorates.
6. Follow people online who have done this successfully. The last thing you need is people in your ear telling you it can’t be done. It can be done and it has been done.
